Hi Ray and all.

I have one of those double headed levers that was given to me a long =
time ago. It has square tips at different angles. It has inscribed on =
one head Made for Amfelt Co. by J. Erlandsen, New York. No date, but =
this has to be very old.

  Hi, List!

Today in the bottom of a 1913 York Upright an old tuning hammer. It =
has a double tip making it "T" shaped. Both tips appear to be the same =
size, but are rectangular shaped rather than star or oval. Perhaps it =
will work on oval pins on square grands. I can check that out next time =
I tune my sister's old square as a labor of love!

It is also an extension hammer extending from 10 1/2 to 15 inches. =
There is a slotted set screw to tighten the position of extension. The =
double tip is removable. The shank diameter is a little less than =
modern ones. The handle is a pretty decent wood, though the finish is =
checked like old upright finishes often are.

Does anyone have a clue to its age, or manufacturer? There is no name =
anywhere on it. If anyone would like a picture, perhaps I could do one =
sometime with my digital camera and send it to you privately. Would it =
be of interest to anyone to see at a convention display?

BTW, the piano owner offered it to me when I asked her if I could take =
a picture of it!

The difficult I do right away; the impossible takes a little longer!
