Damper TouchWeight

I tuned a 1970s Everett Studio the other day. With sustain pedal depressed,
DownWeight was around 50 to 55 grams. Without depressing the sustain pedal,
the touchweight skyrocketed to about 95 grams. Clearly this is toooo
"heavy". Are there any guidelines for both verticals and grands for how much
downweight the dampers should add??? Thanks.
