Beveled edge on bass bridge

Run a fine thread line from the center of the hitch pin across the bridge and
into the appropriate agraffe hole.  Mark where the string crosses the bridge. 
Drill the two hole one this line along the scribe line mentioned earlier.  

The width of the pin and it's angle will provide the proper deflection for the
string.

Once the holes are drilled you can Dag the top, cut your "bevel" notch.

Easy on a bass bridge.
