Question of timing

My post entitled Discussion Among Peers (too long...sorry) was mailed by me 
to the list on 8/16.  It was posted today, 8/23.  At first when it didn't 
appear on the list, I assumed it got lost somehow, but I've got to wonder, 
now that it got posted today, where has it been for a week?  Where can email 
go for a week?
