  Why not just glue one side. Loop the cord around an appropriate guide,
  for loop-length the glue in the other side and cut with a razor blade?

      I found that trying to manipulate the cords after gluing  tends to =
pull them out of the slot. Also precutting them as described takes about =
5 minutes and ensures a very consistant size loop on all the flanges. =20
