Spring rail cloth.  It acts as a universal joint allowing damper blocks to
"float".

Put glue on stick, apply felt, trim.

Apply glue to damper felt and apply to felted sticks.  This procedure keeps the
glue in hte "joint" to the minimum allowing better flexability.

THEN you can use hammer butt felt and cut the little blocks of felt that join
the blocks to the dampers.  again observe goue on wood first.
