Well, I have finally gotten over my fear of stringing and did a passable job on a older Kawai grand the other day. I still have 4 strings to do in the upper treble. My question is: how long should the string really be past the tuning pin? Is it three or four fingers? And should I back the tuning pin out three complete turns before putting the string on?
