cracked plate

Hi Greg,

The reason for the 5 cent overpull in the bass has to do with a philosphy
that overpulling bass strings may damage the "sound" qualities. I fail to
see how it has any relevance to a plate exhibiting a manufacturing defect.
I have seen a good quality upright tuned 100 cents sharp at A4. It
survived, and now that it has been lowered to the correct pitch sounds very
well indeed.
