Joe, your evaluation of my intelligence is grossly eggagerated. I do have my dense moments. I think I'm eligible for membership in DENSA. I'm also good at covering my flubs with humor. Since you or someone mentioned low heat, I didn't think of arc welding. I always thought that arc heat was more intense than acetylene but I guess though, if you use the short bursts as you describe the heat wouldn't spread so far and I suppose you can turn down the current to minimize heating to what is required. Never thought of that. Of course I'm not a welder. A little bending and brazing with a torch is about all I've even tried.
