Terry,

After scraping, you have options:

1.. Dip a scotchbrite red pad in alcohol or Dyna After Wash, scrub the
surface, wipe off while wet with paper towels.
2. Spray the After Wash on the surface, let stand for 5 minutes, scrub
with scotchbrite, wipe with paper towel.
3. Spray with Afterwash, scrub with stiff nylon bristle brush, wipe with
paper towels.

Denatured alcohol is both toxic and flammable, After Wash is non flammable
and super low toxicity.

It is also advisable to wipe down the surface with AW or alcohol after
steps 1, 2 or 3.

Wait overnight before sanding.

REMEMBER, FOLKS: Never leave a half stripped lid overnight! The stripped
side can absorb moisture, causing the lid to curl and/or crack. It doesn't
matter what kind of stripper you use.
