electric shavers and Northern Lights

Yes, I did get to see the Northern Lights on two nights when I was up in the North country. The first night the wind stopped and the temperature was in the 40īs. Ice was melting so there were little waves of water blowing across Lake Myvatn. the only time I didnīt think it was so pretty was when our jeep driver started driving across the lake in the waves of water, but he said it was no problem as there was plenty of ice under the water! I think I left my hand print on the scaredie bar on the door! Anyway, that first nite, the Northern lights started as a green mist in the North sky, then looked like piano keys beginning to wave. then they looked like the Nike swoosh across the sky! Yes, it was beautiful and both nights they reflected off the ice on the lake. the second nite, all the ice had frozen again and it was very cold. To get away from the flood lights on the hotel, we hiked across the road behind the psuedo craters and also saw the Milky Way. The Northern Lights were green as well as some red, and were bands of green across the sky.. they sortof come and go - pulse!

Today, as well as being introduced to Icelandic hail, we partook of that famous liquor made from fennel seeds they are so famous for. It cleared my sinuses so I partook of two shots!

I also demonstrated Cybertuner today choosing number 5. They thought the thirds were beating faster than they were accustomed to hearing, but I think at very least, it was different for them to hear. I also demonstrated a Vallotti-Young temperament.

Kristinnīs father, Leiff, has wonderful hearing and is teaching me about "opening up the sound" of piano hammers. He uses an interesting technique with this very slim electric shaver - like shoe-shining piano hammers. I really like the sound of what he is doing and will try this out when I get back. Meanwhile, in the U.S. is the Braun 255 shaver sold and how much does it cost? I found it on the web at www.braun.com Here in Iceland, the search engines take you to European sites, not American ones, which I did not know!

Hope all is well at home.
