Test your own hearing!

Hi Ric,
I was given an anti-biotic once for a strep throat, and it caused
my
hearing to go 'mushy'. Sorry that is all I can describe it as.
I immediately got in to see an ENT specialist, and he took me off
the medication, and said if my hearing did not come back on it's
own, there was nothing he could do.
Unfortunately, I can't remember the drugs name, but it would be
in
my medical file.
It seems to me that he said, some hospitals in the States, give a
hearing test, before giving the drug, as some patients, had sued
for
hearing loss.
It happened a few years ago, and I get a hearing test every year,
and so
far there has been just normal hearing loss as I age.
