Being curious and demanding. If you didn't want to know you
wouldn't look and any old wheel would do. And you demand
something to satisfy your curiosity. You ain't no redneck
with ducktape.

I can send you a .txt file of the manual of Spectra if you
wish to look it over for more ideas.

You are right, I hate windows and have no desire to "learn"
how to make it do tricks. I like DOS. Not too many people
even know what DOS is these days.

You can get a calibrated mic from Shit Shack for about $120
or so. If you want to get into really good mics then you
are talking about some REAL money. I had six mics at one
time, worth about $4,000 in today's money. I only have the
AKGs now. Come to think of it I do have a set of MBs still
at the university. I have to get those back some day and
play with them. Those are worth some good money these days
are the AKGs. Last I heard the AKGs cost about $1,000
each. 25 years ago I paid about $250 each.

My thought as well, but I was amazed that there could be a
difference in sound mounting a hammer one way or the other
way around. Now there is a puzzlement for you.

Gee, can I come and play with your toys? I can bring my 450
mhz laptop, if I get it back from Toshiba some day.

> get it away from the computer fan noise,

Good point that. I just hate having chords going all over
the place. You should see the rat's nest I have under the
desk. I'm afraid to take the computer apart because I may
not remember what each wire is for. sigh Well, I won't be
crawling on the floor for a little while yet.

Happy New Year with lots of curiosity and lots of
satisfaction.
