Terry, et al.

When I used to tune for the Mississippi River Festival many moons ago, I 
experienced the same thing you did, sound checks, excess noise, waiting time, 
etc., Because of that, the clock started running at the time I was asked to 
be there. Then I charged a tuning fee (don't want to mention prices, right 
Paul :)) for the first half an hour, and then my tuning fee for every hour 
after that, no matter what I did. I got "time and half" on Sundays and 
Holidays. 

I have done a couple of "concert" tunings since then, and get paid the same 
way. When I tell them how my fee structure works, it is surprising how 
accommodating they are to get me in and out of there in a hurry.
