Hi to Patrick Poulson and all: The SAT III has the easiest method for dealing with the wild breaks in the stringing scale of such pianos as the Wurlitzer and the Acrosonic. The Double Octave Beat control can be utilized on the fly to handle the foreshortening of the plain wire notes in the temperament octave and then a negative DOB can be utilized to shrink the octave going down into the wound strings. Works real neat. It keeps the speed of the M3rds fairly close and minimizes the variation in the 4ths and 5ths. The octave are slightly expanded in the lowest plain wires and compressed in the highest wound strings to accomplish a smooth intersection. If one does not lower the lowest plain strings, then the double octave mismatch can become terrible, not to mention the triple octave. Maybe I'll do a video on that if there is enough interest.
