pedal assist units

Hi all,

Many thanks for the responses thus far regarding the two posts on this same
issue. I have relayed the responses to the technician that made the original
request to me.

The idea of solenoid operation with a microswitch trigger could work.
Obviously power is required but usually that isn't a problem. (Even in New
Zealand most of us have power these days) :) Perhaps a small unit containing
the appropriately engineered mechanism could sit over the pedals with a
metal arm wedging in under either the floor in vertical or pedal box in
grand as one post suggested.

Now to design something for those half pedal requirements.. :)
