Hi Ron,
            Plus the dumb baggers, cloth bush both the blocks and levers,
just so to trap work can wiggle all over creation. A big field improvement
can be had by plugging the lever with a maple dowel and drilling a force
fit hole for the pin.  

Now the spanned damper guide rail has about 1mm flex with humidity changes,
then they install the guide rails befor the plate.  Now go figure on that one.
 You are correct on the waste of paper.
