Prepping the Piano for the Tuner - slightly OT

Phil,

They don't do that for you in Florida?!  Hm.  Maybe I won't be moving my job
down there after all.  (Not that I was really thinking about it....)

I am from PA, which may not qualify as part of the "Great NorthEast," but I do
work at training them.  The appointment card I send several days before says, "A
quiet atmosphere will help me do the best job for you.  It will also be helpful
if all items are removed from the piano before I arrive.  Please call attention
to any additional problems so they can be attended to."

But as for taking the music desk off the grands, yes, a few of them do that also
although I've never mentioned it.
