Leave the names as they are. We all understand what we are talking about but if you change the rules then confusion ensues for years. Consider the time it took to change F45 (key count) to F4 (octave designation). Leave well enough alone and get used to the fact that as piano technicians, like any other specialty, we have our own nomenclature. Newton
