Hi gang. I am rebuilding an upright let-off rail: new let-off screws, buttons, and felt punchings. Is there any secret to installing the button on the adjustment screw such that its cylindrical axis is parallel with the screw shaft so that there is no wobble when turning the adjustment screw? No wobble is critical for any fine regulation. The holes in the buttons (Pianotek) I am using are pre drilled. I should think that if the holes are put in square, you are guaranteed to end up with no wobble. I have some wobble. Am I forcing the installation to go crooked? Or are some of the pre-drilled holes not square to the felt surface? Do I need to make my own dowels and drill them myself??? Thanks. Terry Farrell
