Jim, Several years ago we were faced with the same problem. Then, Baldwin would sell a new lid, unfinished or finished and the price was reasonable. We ended up ordering from them and then customized the size to fit our instrument, as even 9ft pianos will vary from one end to the other. Be prepared to lay out of the hinge placement and drill out all the holes. If you have never taken part in a lid placement scenario, plan ample of time for placement, then double checking before any drilling begins. This will be far cheaper than going to your neighborhood millwork operation to do the work. Tom Servinsky,RPT Plan B- get fancy and have a Plexiglas lid made for a fraction of the cost. ----- Original Message ----- From: "james turner" <JTTUNER@webtv.net> To: <pianotech@ptg.org> Sent: Sunday, October 14, 2001 3:18 PM Subject: Re: pianotech-digest V2001 #1378 > I have an unusual situation.
