Things needn't always be black or white--wouldn't life be simpler if they
were.  HT's are what they are and should be looked at in terms of what some
musicians then and now find more aesthetically pleasing for a variety of
reasons.  If they don't appeal to you then don't use them.  I have some
customers with multiple pianos who prefer an HT on one and ET on the other.
Sometimes a well temperament suites their musical needs and sometimes it
doesn't.  So much arguing about what is better is a bit like the Mad
Hatter's Tea Party.
