No answers just rambling thoughts. > >Roger Roger, List, Enjoyed reading this rambling material as I have been going through some reality adjustments with regards to tuning in general. Changes occur. That is the one absolute certainty. I have, as of lately, come to feel that I no longer can deliver any degree of accuracy when tuning a piano because of the diverse nature of the beast, the environments in which it lives and any inadequacies that I have. I can only deliver, given what I understand to be the best set of circumstances, along with the most current understanding I have, the appropriate tools available, my frame of mind; take all this, and whatever else could be a factor, and apply them to the best of my ability. The result is what there is For my customers it is becoming, and most likely always has been, "This is what you get this time around." So, does that make one a better tuner or not, neh? Ah, the fun and games of it all :-† Keith McGavern Registered Piano Technician Oklahoma Chapter 731 Piano Technicians Guild USA
