The putative advantages promoted by Verituner are almost entirely convenience oriented: its size, weight, battery life, no need for separate sampling procedure, instant recognition of any note, etc. Except for the claim that it is "better than your gear," it seems to make no claims about providing a better tuning. This is not to say that it does not in fact produce better results. Perhaps it does, but I for one would like to know why it would. Paul Larudee
