One limiting factor in bridge width and pinning is the pins go in at an angle and will, as some point, meet, front and back. Width then is a function of those angles. Pin angling is generally a compound angle, Left or right and front to back. The reason for this is that the vertical and horizontal terminus must be on the same vertical plane, notch and pin contact points. Some do it, some don't. Newton
