Thanks for the responses. I chucked a short straight piece of 0.029" wire in my drill press and pressed two of them out. It didn't get the other one, but it put a nice clean hole right at the same location, so I guess that will work fine! Schaff offers medium and heavy hammer butt springs. I measured their diameters and the medium is 0.022" and the heavy is 0.024". The original springs measure out to be 0.020". Does anyone know a source of "light" upright hammer butt springs? If not, I suppose the mediums will work fine, I'll just adjust them accordingly.
