Hello Had one (before I wanted to modify it ) . It is a regular tape with digital reading . Mine was from Starett, and 75 USD approx. I never find one again in France. Precision was good enough, I had co calibrate it before mesuring (zero it). Find it faster to mesure with that and less tiring for eyes. Good luck Isaac > -----Message d'origine----- > De : owner-pianotech@ptg.org [mailto:owner-pianotech@ptg.org]De la part > de Stephen Airy > Envoyé : samedi 22 septembre 2001 01:58 > À : pianotech@ptg.org > Objet : RE: High-tension or Low-tension? > > > I've never heard of it before -- what do you mean by > digital metric? electronic device of some kind? how > much does it cost? > > --- Isaac OLEG SIMANOT <oleg-i@wanadoo.fr> wrote: > > Digital metric tape is fine for that too, but don't > > try to modify the tape ! > > > > Issac OLEG > > > > > -----Message d'origine----- > > > De : owner-pianotech@ptg.org > > [mailto:owner-pianotech@ptg.org]De la part > > > de Delwin D Fandrich > > > Envoyé : vendredi 21 septembre 2001 07:10 > > > À : pianotech@ptg.org > > > Objet : Re: High-tension or Low-tension? > > > > > > > > > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > > From: "Stephen Airy" <stephen_airy@yahoo.com> > > > To: <pianotech@ptg.org> > > > Sent: September 20, 2001 4:27 PM > > > Subject: Re: High-tension or Low-tension? > > > > > > > > > > Do you know of a way to measure the individual > > (and > > > > the overall) string tension in my 56" 1913 Ricca > > (sn > > > > 37123) with the strings in the piano and pulled > > up to > > > > pitch?
