This thread exemplifies the tremendous need for us, (Technicians), to take it upon ourselfs to educate the public about pianos. I give EVERY client, (and sometimes people who just comment on my license plates "2NRGUY" & "TUNE IT"), a copy of Phillip Gurlicks Book, on the care and feeding of pianos. This book is inexpensive and has a great deal of information in it. Well written/edited. Another, but not as effective, IMHO, is pamphlets. In any event, it's on our shoulders to go the extra mile and COMMUNICATE with the piano owning public. (putting on flame suit now!) Regards, Joe Garrett, (Pacific North West)
