Dave, being an old jazzer, a jazz tuning could anything you would hear in old Monk recordings to the modern sounds of a Yamaha played by Chick Corea. My guess is lean towards the Chick sound for the 'jazz method'. Monk was the only player I've ever heard who could make an out of tune piano sing. -Phil Bondi (Fl.) tito@philbondi.com
