Boy, I don't know Joe. Why take the piano all apart? (Well, you might want to take the action out and a few of the loose panels.) Just find an old piano (I used a Betsy Ross spinet - 36 inches tall.....er, a, wide/deep) that has the front legs attached to that extension of the case at their base (what are those things called? - all old uprights have them.). Tip the piano forward so that the front leg extension and the key bed are pointing down. OK. There ya go! You have a table! Or at least the HEAVY DUTY frame with short legs. Just lengthen the legs to taste (I bolted a couple 2x6s on there) and add a flat top (I used oak and maple planks). What is really cool is that each tool you drop on it will make a different cord/sound! It really does make a nice heavy, stable, flat, etc. table. I made my top VERY flat and level and I use if for bench regulation, etc. (I have pics if you want.)
