The best thing I have done is to do free quarterly tuning for the two local music studios. These studios sell instruments, have Yellow Pages ads, are located on a main street, and rent band instruments for local schools. They get lots of calls asking for piano tuning and I get the referrals. My only investment is one day every three months. I get at least a couple new clients a week from these sources.
