 THANKS for taking the time to look into this for me...

...actually, there is a separate metal "arm" that this Cable has (it's
above, directly behind the music desk) that works automatically when you
open the fall board, so this other little gadget must be for something
else...I realize it's hard to visualize, and describing it is pretty
tough :) But your time and sincere response is really appreciated.
