I am sometimes amazed the silly things that customers can do, like when a 
customer of ours decided the bass strings on his reconditioned Yamaha C3 
weren't shiny enough and so polished them with brasso two days after 
delivery.  (needless to say, this one needed restringing).  But happening to 
someone who is supposed to know about pianos, I am amazed that something like 
this would happen.
