I was tuning for a new customer a couple of weeks ago. She had to leave to go meet someone for lunch, and told me to just lock the door behind me. I had to go out to move my car for her -- she drove off, and I proceeded to re-enter the house. When I opened the door, the alarm went off, scaring the bejeezus out of me :). Unfortunately, at this point the customer was long gone -- leaving me to wait for the police to show up. They did, and menacingly demanded to know what I was doing there -- I explained the situation, and they asked to see my toolkit. I complied and luckily they bought it :) Needless to say I wasn't able to touch up those last few unisons with the alarm blaring so I left. The customer never called to apologize or to ask why her alarm was going when she returned home. Some people mystify me. -Court Stewart -----Original Message----- From: owner-pianotech@ptg.org [mailto:owner-pianotech@ptg.org]On Behalf Of Robert Wilson Sent: Saturday, April 27, 2002 12:56 PM To: pianotech@ptg.org Subject: Re: Not home --- Billbrpt@AOL.COM wrote: > In a message dated 4/27/02 8:29:45 AM Central > Daylight Time, > cedel@supernet.com (Clyde Hollinger) writes: > > > > We discussed this some time ago.
