Barely damp washcloth, and if they are smeary from old wax,
grease, etc., I use a small dab of toothpaste on the cloth,
and then wipe the toothpaste residue off with the rest of
the rag. Works fine for ivories and plastic both.

I wet the corner of the washcloth, and squeeze it into the
rest, so it's barely damp.
