Absolutely they do need voicing, Dale----but what's negative about that?  
I find, after maintaining dozens of pianos in performing/recording/heavy 
usage situations that we put Renner hammers on, that once you get 'em 
right, they stay right, and are very responsive to just a few needle 
stitches. I love their sustain and evenness.  Great hammers.

  AND, we've put on several sets that have been rock-esque and a big pain 
in the ass to keep sounding "good." And made Rick Baldassin aware of it, 
thank you very much.
