As you said, this lends itself to the low end of our scale. I agree. And perhaps you said it all when you said that the self-tuning piano owner is now ready to sell said piano. The consumer, unless things change drastically in a very short amount of time, will consider the piano maintained by a human being (ok..it's a stretch in some cases..) over one that hasn't seen a technician since day one.
