Thanks John,
The problem is NOT the presence of God in things,
in fact, it is quite the opposite. And, most
particularly, those who THINK they are doing God's
will, but are not!
I do not believe that God, at least Jesus' God,
would instruct anyone to attack anyone else, ever,
excepting perhaps to defend themselves or another from
immediate and actual violence. We ( and other nations
and faiths ) can make all sorts of excuses to attack
other "Godless" people pre-emptively, but does this
not merely show a lack of interest/effort/sincerity in
bringing God's message of love and peace to others?
If we do not confront the inadeqaucy to be sincere
within ourselves, it will be forced upon us through
trials and tribulations. And this is, I believe, the
route the current US administratioin is pusruing.
Thankfully, the UN and other voices still try to find
peaceful solutions to the world's dillemmas, and offer
a mitigating voice.
     Gordon
