DC "Smart Heater Bar"

Hello Isaac and List,

I have been traveling without email and have missed a bit of this thread. I
will pass your question on to Bob Mair for his opinion. In the meantime let
me address two issues that appeared earlier.

The SHB probes do develop a residue with time. Generally this is easily
removed once a year by scrubbing the probes with a sponge or scrub brush.
In certain areas with poor water quality the deposits can be heavier,
requiring more frequent cleaning.

We do not recommend cutting the probes on the SHB. If this is done the
remaining ends of the probes must be shorted for the SHB to work.

We, as a manufacturer, are caught between complaints of "costs to much" and
"needs to have more features". We try to strike a balance, but are always
open to suggestions to improving the product. Please contact me directly at
roger@dampp-chaser.com.

Thanks,

Roger
