Clyde,
         Some time ago I purchased something like what you describe. It 
didn't cost quite that much and yes, I'm very glad I bought it. It's from 
Eureka I think and is called the HotShot. I can go down to the shop and 
look if it's really important to you. I use it mostly to steam out key 
bushings. Works quite well and very fast. I was warned about steaming 
hammers and have chickened out from even trying it. It's also been a help 
around the house with various cleaning chores.
