Palm/PC sync

I had trouble getting my computor and Handspring to sync. until I read the
directions on performing a "soft start"?(Does that sound right to you who
know these things?) Anyway, I had to insert and push a pin in a small hole
in Handspring and my problems ended. Maybe someone on the list can explain
it better so you and I can understand it.
