Or ... perhaps ... there is a problem with the grommet. While you're at it, check the functioning of the pedals. Members of the Petrof family have been known to have some weird pedal problems due to misaligning of the trapwork assembly. Z! I don't recall the exact setup on the Petrof, but do remember thinking it was a bit odd (ie not exactly the same as more familiar Yamahas or older American uprights).
