Hi Bob et al,

I think that beauty is a subjective thing that cannot be measured. A simple
example is cherry pie. I happen to hate it. Most love it.

Increasing the pianotech listserv is being "infected" with invective from
posters. I do hope this is a trend that will not continue. The list has
already lost valuable members.

Remember what you "read" may not actually be what the person intended to
say. Ask for clarification before you do a "knee jerk" reply. If you see
someone make an error please do correct them--but without making them feel
like a dumb jerk. After all, when is the last time you saw a "perfect" piano?

If some one says something that "pushes" your *hot* button and you feel you
MUST reply, don't inflict it on the rest of the list. Simply cut and paste
their email address (look at the "from" line) and bash away at them in
private to your hearts content.

I freely admit that sometimes I have not followed my own advice, but I have
apologized to the list when someone has called it to my attention.
