Hi Joe
Joe have you any thoughts about covering the surface of a sound board
,which in better instruments should be quality tonewood ,with a soft
covering such as Spar varnish or Varathane. One of the reasons quality
varnish was used on fine instruments was its ability to become hard.

Regards
Murray
