My first Bechstein

finally, I get to see what all the fuss is about...

Model A(184cm or +-6'1") - 1922 vintage w/open-face pinblock..a pleasure to
tune.

I wasn't particularly impressed with the tone(original hammers expertly
re-shaped), but I was impressed with the sustain.

The piano arrived in the US about 6 weeks ago from Sweden, where it has
resided for all its life up until now.

The support beams look like trusses in residential construction.

Beautiful instrument - well maintained over the years.

We're going to do some minor cosmetic stuff to it, and install a DC hoping
that will help it survive the climate down here.

Looking forward to working with this beauty for years to come.

Impressed,
Phil
