Hi Roy,
               Marcel raised a good point, about the back light. If it is 
on, expect the battery time to drop by 50 %. Even with the back light on, 
it easily handles a major pitch raise, and fine tuning, with some fiddling 
time in between. 2 1/2hrs with no warning display.
In bright lighting conditions you do need the back light.  It has surpassed 
my expectations.
