James,

I agree that 506Ses have some of the tightest pins out there, when new.  A
month or two ago, I did twist off a 506S tuning pin.  Last week, I was
tuning another, when I thought the same thing happened.  It didn't.  This
time the tuning lever tip blew apart.  And it wasn't a thin-waller.

On the plus side, I can still beat my kids at arm wrestling.
