Ric, When I sent the original post, debunking the possibility of actual feeling the hammer at impact, I did it with tongue firmly planted in cheek. What you have discovered is what I truly believe: The pianist CAN feel the hammer hitting the string! So, now we have a, somewhat, difinitive experiment that shows that. I do believe.
