Subject: Today's Puzzler

Good Day to all.

Today's puzzler involves a Kawai RX-1, with clicking noises coming from the
upper bass, lower tenor section only on hard blows.

The noises sounded like a loose hammer shank or a loose hammer head..not
this time, although the shank screws were pretty loose.

Now remember, the noise sounded like a loose hammer head or shank, but that
was not the problem...and it only happened on a hard blow.

What was the problem?

First correct answer gets the slightly used felt wedge which was not awarded
to Dave Spaulding the last time I gave the class a puzzler. He passed on the
prize.

BIG Bonus points if you've only been in the business for 5 years or less.
