Where did you hear to try naphtha, I would think that would cause jumpy = pins? I think that would contaminate the pinblock. You have to isolate the contaminant from the pin. Seal with CA, and shim = with veneer to get the smooth feel back. I hadn't heard of sanding sealer being used either. I have heard of spar = varnish being used. >From what you say the real fix is a new pinblock. Is the piano worth it? Regards, John M.
